Night of a Thousand Dinners has inspired people to take action against
landmines. To date some $5 millon has been raised in over 50 countries.
Here are just a few of the reasons people gave for hosting N1KD
events:
Night of a Thousand Dinners is a wonderful activity, which
not only raised money to make this good work happen, but also provided
an evening of fellowship and provided a glimpse of Rotary to non-Rotarians.

Who wouldn't feel good about throwing together a meal with
friends and knowing that in the process you are potentially saving
an innocent life? Julia Ormond, Actor/Producer
"I teach my students that it is very important for young people
to help kids in other parts of the world. We have now raised a total
of $10,000 in the years that we have been doing Night of AThousand
Dinners. All of that money has gone to clear landmines and help
landmine survivors."
