Glyn Berry

Glyn Berry was a Canadian diplomat killed in a car bomb attack in Afghanistan on January 15, 2006. He was the first Canadian diplomat to be killed in service in 40 years.

A diplomat of the highest calibre, he served in Oslo, Havana, London, Islamabad, Kandahar, and at the United Nations in New York City. He was widely respected and immensely admired as a tireless advocate of peacebuilding.

A minefield was cleared in Afghanistan in his honour.
