Glyn Berry was a Canadian diplomat killed in a car bomb attack in
Afghanistan on January 15, 2006. He was the first Canadian diplomat
to be killed in service in 40 years.
A diplomat of the highest calibre, he served in Oslo, Havana, London,
Islamabad, Kandahar, and at the United Nations in New York City.
He was widely respected and immensely admired as a tireless advocate
of peacebuilding.
A minefield was cleared in Afghanistan in his honour.
